  • Pork shoulder bone-in, about 10 lbs
  • Water enough to partially cover

Method
 

  1. Prep the pork shoulder – Trim excess fat if needed, but leave some for flavor.
  2. Season – Rub the pork with salt, pepper, and garlic.
  3. Layer the ingredients – Place the the pork shoulder in, then top it with.chopped onion

  4. Add flavor – Pour in lime juice and teriyaki sauce. Fill the rest with broth or water until the pork is slightly submerged.
  5. Cook – Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours, then finish on HIGH for 1 hour. This helps break everything down perfectly while still locking in moisture.
  6. Shred and serve – The pork should pull apart easily with forks. Save the broth for later use.
