Ingredients
  

  • 1 whole turkey small enough to fit your crock pot
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 sweet onion half inside cavity, half outside
  • 3 Cans Chicken broth do not cover entire turkey
  • Bag Red-skinned potatoes whole
  • Celery inside cavity
  • Carrots inside cavity and outside
  • Rosemary
  • Thyme
  • Garlic powder
  • Fresh ground black peppercorn
  • Lime juice

Method
 

  1. Prep the turkey – Ensure your turkey fits in the crock pot. Pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Season generously – Rub butter over the skin and season with garlic powder, pepper, rosemary, thyme, and lime juice.
  3. Stuff the cavity – Add onion, celery, and carrots inside.
  4. Add veggies around – Place potatoes, onions, and carrots around the turkey.
  5. Pour broth – Add chicken broth but don’t submerge the turkey.
  6. Slow cook – Cover and cook on HIGH for 8 hours. Turkey will be tender and falling apart.

Want crispy skin? After slow cooking, carefully transfer the turkey to a roasting pan and broil for 5–10 minutes.
Use the juices – Save the liquid for gravy or turkey soup.
